DALI Alliance updates DALI-2 tests

October 4, 2021

In the latest expansion of the DALI-2 certification program for interoperable lighting-control devices, the DALI Alliance has updated its DALI-2 test sequences to include DALI-2 tests for the following:

Part 202 – Self-contained emergency control gear
>> View the DALI Alliance press release
Part 205 – Supply voltage controller for incandescent lamps
Part 206 – Converter to DC 0/1-10V
Part 209 – Control gear for colour control
>> Support has been added for colour types RGBWAF and xy-chromaticity

DALI-2 tests are developed by the DALI Alliance, and are based on the relevant Part of the international standard IEC 62386. DALI-2 certification has a strong focus on device interoperability.

The test-sequence software is provided to all DALI Alliance members (Regular and Associate) as a benefit of membership.

Testing can be carried out by the member company, or by an accredited test house. Test results are submitted to the DALI Alliance and independently verified. If successful, the product is listed in the online database and is entitled to carry the DALI-2 logo trademark. All certified DALI-2 products are shown in the database.
